The village is the best starting point
for diving and snorkeling excursions to Saona, Catalina or Catalinita Island. In
the village you find some good restaurants, a small discotheque and of course
"Villa Iguana" with rooms and apartments. We - the owners of "Villa Iguana"
- are
very interested to provide the best service to our clients and make you
feel comfortable in a familiar atmosphere.

National Park Bayahibe
We are in Bayahibe for 10 years and we know the area very
well. So our clients can take advantage of this experience to plan their
dive trips and
join the dive training ( PADI Dive Center ), snorkeling trips, St. Domingo tours, tours to explore lime stone caves, and much more.
Bayahibe is a great
destination for vacationer, diver, back-packer, small groups, long time
vacationer and pensioners ( spending the winter in the Caribbean ! ) Our
guesthouse is for your comfort well organized, has 24 hours electricity ( 110 V
and 220 V ) and water. There are rooms and apartments in different categories
available according to the different budget guests want to spend on their
vacation. Villa Iguana is a small familiar guesthouse in the heart of
Bayahibe. Distance to the ocean front is 80 m. The accommodations are in a
quiet position, away from the restaurants and the traffic of the main street.
There is very good public transportation available from and to La Romana, Santo
Domingo and Punta Cana. The village is a perfect starting point for excursions
into the National park and to the islands Catalina, Saona and Catalinita.

In co-operation with a
German/ international dive center in Bayahibe we offer scuba diving and diving
courses. The guests
can visit the islands nearby with our own motor catamaran and enjoy the most
beautiful beaches of the Caribbean.
Please be advised that
credit cards are hardly accepted. The local currency is the Dominican Pesos.
There are places where you can change money in each village. Easiest to change
is the US$ cash or travelers checks and the Euro
Donīt forget to
bring a sun block lotion with a high SPF. In winter the temperature goes down in
the evening, then itīs fine to have a vest with you.
